Richard has been driving for more than 30 years. After working as a manager for a Transport and Logistics Recruitment Company for over 20 years decided to change career direction and re train as a Driving Instructor.
Richard trained as part of the in-house Pass PDIT.
Richard enjoys cycling, building radio controlled ships and going to the gym (when time allows!)
He also owns and enjoys restoring his Classic TVR Chimaera V8 and often takes it to car shows.
He joined Pass in 2020.
Richard is offering auto lessons in Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable and surrounding areas.
My friends tell me I am calm, patient, easy going and at times have a childish sense of humour ! All qualities which I feel are useful in my lessons.
I offer lessons to suit individual needs and my aim is to prepare my students to be safe, confident and competent drivers on the road.
I had Richard as my instructor and honestly he is honestly the best instructors i have had , really believed in me even when I didn't, calm, waiting and understanding. thankyou rich for helping me pass my test!
I was a nervous wreck when I first started to learn to drive but my amazing instructor Richard Lewis was so patient and understanding! He went along with all my quirks and taught me how to drive in a way that was tailored to me. He has helped me come along leaps and bounds and I can honestly say without him I would have never passed. I had given up hope with driving but I have now passed!!! If you’re nervous and anxious to start driving I can honestly say pass is the way to go!!! They are reliable, friendly and patient and definitely worth the money and time! I owe my success to this driving school and Richard in particular! Definitely learn to drive with Pass!
Would like to say a big thank you to Richard Lewis for getting me through my test, honestly couldn’t have done it without you! After a rubbish year of cancelled lessons and test due to lockdowns then being so lucky to get a last minute cancelled test! Thank you for putting up with my negativity, with me thinking I’m never going to do it but you got me through and I’m so thankful for it! Not going to lie I am going to miss our weekly lessons and chats,.you really are the best.Highly recommend!
I can't still believe I passed the FIRST time in Herne Bay yesterday.I started my journey with no knowledge about driving/car at all.It wasn't easy as I'm really scared and nervous about it at first.But with the help of my instructor Richard Lewis,he helps me a lot to boast my confidence and always tells me "no rush,you're doing well". My husband also passed his driving test with him.Can't thanked him enough for being an amazing teacher.I super duper highly recommend him for someone who has a nervous and anxiety problem like me.He is very calm,a good teacher,patient, professional and very helpful in so many ways.
