Brett passed his driving test on 18th July 1978 so has been driving for over 45 years!
He originally trained in 1982 with a national driving school in Wimbledon, and then a local instructor, where he fully qualified to be an ADI back in 1983. He ran his own Driving School up to December 1989, when he decided to have a complete change of direction and went in to the Gas industry where he worked for 34 years.
He has now decided that it's time to start teaching again, as it is something he really enjoyed. Helping someone go from a total novice to a competent driver is really rewarding!
Brett has been married for just over 16 years, having tied the knot in Cuba in 2008 which he said was a great experience. He has a rescue cat called Clarice that he has had for about 10 years, she can be a stubborn little monkey but they love her dearly. His interests included everything about gadgets and has built several computers both for himself and his family.

I understand how daunting learning to drive can be, and that some people can be nervous at the beginning.
I am a patient and calm person who believes in encouragement, and will always let you learn at your own pace, no pressure. I also have a good sense of humour. In the past I have successfully taught students with learning difficulties.
