Driving instructor for Canterbury, Herne Bay, and Whitstable
Matt has over 20 years driving experience. He has an extensive knowledge of driving based on his previous background which was in delivery in the South East and London for over 10 years. He hopes to utilise this experience in his teaching .
Matt has been married since 2015 and loves animals having both a cat and a dog.
He has a range of interests. He particularly enjoys watching live music, plays the guitar and also enjoys playing golf.
Matt joined Pass in 2025 having trained previously with John Harvey Driving School in 2022/3.
He will be covering Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable offering manual lessons

Everyone learns in different ways and my aim is to find the best way for the individual to learn effectively and become confident in their own ability to drive safely on a range of roads.
I am a calm and patient instructor and have taught a full range of students, ages and requirements.
Having just passed my test FIRST time . I couldn’t recommend Pass driving school and Matt Ellis enough! Such a good instructor who was very calm which helps to take away all the stress of driving !
